Play’n GO Secures New Greek Online Casino Supplier License

[ad_1]

Online casino games maker Play’n GO has obtained a license from Greek gambling regulators that enables it to continue to offer its products in the local market under recently adopted amendments to Greece’s gambling regulations.

The country has begun awarding new supplier licenses to interested companies after the introduction of several significant changes to the way online casino services should be provided in the local regulated iGaming space.

Under these new rules, the maximum bet on any online slot is capped at €2 per spin. In addition, players will have to wait for at least three seconds before being able to hit the spin button and get the reels going. As per another important rule, the maximum prize a game can award is maxed out at €70,000 per round.

Founded in 2005, Play’n GO is a pioneer in the development and provision of online slots for the international online casino industry. Back during iGaming’s early days, the company was one of the first to recognize the potential of mobile gaming and embrace it to revolutionize the industry.

In addition to the recently awarded new Greek license, the content developer is also licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority, the Belgian Gaming Commission, the Romanian National Gambling Office, and the UK Gambling Commission and is certified in a number of other regulated jurisdictions.

New Regulatory Clarity Welcomed

Commenting on their latest big news, Play’n GO Head of Sales and Account Management Magnus Olsson said that “regulatory changes are a constant in the global gaming industry, and we welcome the new clarity provided by the Hellenic Gaming Commission in their latest framework.”

The company is now set to work closely with its operator partners in the Greek market to ensure that their local operations are fully compliant with the new rules and regulations.

Mr. Olsson added that they take “immense pride” in their products but also love to constantly bring more to the table. He went on that the rigor they approach both compliance and game development with ensures that all their partners “can rely on us to deliver entertaining content that is ready for all of their players to enjoy from the first day of global release, across multiple markets.”

Play’n GO was one of the first iGaming suppliers to receive a new license by the Hellenic Gaming Commission. Thanks to this, the provider’s clients will be able to continue to provide hit online slots such as The Green Knight, Rich Wilde & The Amulet of the Dead to Greece-based online casino players, while also staying compliant with the most recent responsible gambling regulations in the country.
