Microgaming Ups Italy Online Casino Market Presence with BLOX

Online casino software powerhouse Microgaming is set to increase its distribution powers in the lucrative Italian iGaming market thanks to a recent deal with platform and content provider BLOX.

Under the terms of this new partnership, Microgaming will supply a selection of its most popular online slots and other games to BLOX’s operator partners.

The deal was penned through Prima Networks Limited (PNL), a software service provider for new and existing regulated online casino and sports betting markets.

This is the second alliance signed through PNL that Microgaming has announced in recent days. Earlier this week, the company unveiled a similar online casino content supply deal with Portugal’s Solverde Group.

As part of its new deal with BLOX, Microgaming will provide its partner with access to more than 50 of its titles. These will be added to BLOX’s content aggregator and will be offered to its network of operators. The company already offers hit online slots and table games from the likes of Pragmatic Play, Yggdrasil, and Evolution to multiple Italy-licensed operators.

Online gaming brands powered by the BLOX platform will be able to offer their players smashing Microgaming hits such as Immortal Romance, Lara Croft Temples and Tombs, and 9 Masks of Fire, among others.

Expanded Italian Presence

Commenting on this recent deal, PNL Managing Director Rupert Dix said that Italy has a thriving online casino scene and that they are thrilled to be able to offer Microgaming titles to more operators and players in this robust market via a “great partnership” with BLOX.

Mr. Dix went on to say that after the initial rollout of 50 titles, they plan to integrate more games from the major provider over the coming months so that operators powered by BLOX and its platform can provide their players with “even more quality content from Microgaming and our partner studios.”

BLOX CCO Karl Grech said that they have built an incredible portfolio of games from some of the industry’s biggest developers and suppliers and that the addition of Microgaming content will further set them apart from rival platform providers and aggregators.

Mr. Grech added that “Microgaming is undoubtedly one of the industry’s leading content providers and no online casino game lobby is complete without titles such as Immortal Romance and Thunderstruck II”, and that they are thrilled to now be able to offer these and some more to their clients and their clients’ players.

BLOX’s network of operators includes some of Italy’s largest online gambling brands. The company recently teamed up with Greentube to gain access to the major content maker and supplier’s wide portfolio of popular casino games.
