Spearhead Studios Grows Footprint with ORYX Distribution Deal

Spearhead Studios, the newly formed game development arm of iGaming software provider EveryMatrix, has signed a content distribution deal with ORYX Gaming to gain access to its new partner’s large network of clients.

Under the terms of their partnership, ORYX would supply Spearhead content to its partner operators. The deal would see such operators gain access to country-specific online casino games in several jurisdictions.

ORYX is set to deliver Spearhead’s titles via its ORYX Hub aggregation platform that already hosts a hefty library of more than 8,000 games from over 80 leading industry providers, licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority and certified in 15 other major jurisdictions.

Spearhead was formed last year when EveryMatrix acquired the team behind GiG Games, the game development division of Gaming Innovation Group. GiG said last year that it had decided to no longer invest in its development arm as it was looking to reduce OPEX and concentrate on key strategic areas.

After tapping the GiG Games team, EveryMatrix launched Spearhead. The game development studio is based in Marbella, Spain and is led by former GiG Games Managing Director Mathias Larsson.

Spearhead specializes in the creation of country-specific content that aims to help online gambling operators boost their performance in various markets.

Initial Roll-out Includes Five Games

Thanks to its partnership with ORYX, Spearhead has already launched five games on the provider’s ORYX Hub platform. More titles are set to follow in the coming months.

Following the success of its Book of Souls slot, which accumulated 20 million game rounds in the first ten months after its release, and the recent launch of Wilds of Wall Street, Spearhead’s 2020 roadmap involves the roll-out of at least 12 more games, including online slots and table games.

Commenting on the new milestone in the young studio’s existence, Spearhead Managing Director Mathias Larsson said that they are very excited to have their games live with ORYX’s partners and their operators.

Mr. Larsson went on that “it’s been a great start for Spearhead, and with our rapidly expanding portfolio, we are looking forward to a long successful partnership.”

Spearhead is the latest game developer to integrate its content onto ORYX Hub. Last month, ORYX unveiled a recently signed content distribution deal with Pragmatic Play and said that the games provider’s titles rapidly rocketed among the best performing online casino products available on ORYX Hub.

ORYX’s content aggregator combines online slots, table games, live dealer games, lottery products, instant win gaming content, and virtual sports that are offered to a number of online gambling operators and their players.
