U.S. based daily fantasy sports contest and sports betting provider, DraftKings, now has a total of five office locations after opening its brand new San Franciso office recently.
The move further expands the Boston-headquartered company’s West Coast presence, adding to its near-300 employee office in Las Vegas that opened on January 15, 2020. It is the fast-growing firm’s third office opening since celebrating the opening of its new Boston headquarters last year on March 26.
The state-of-the-art, Back Bay neighborhood location is the largest single-floor office space in the Massachusetts city and at 105,000-square-feet more than doubles the size of its previous Boston office.
New offices:
Including the new San Francisco digs, DraftKings has opened state-of-the-art offices in Hoboken, NJ, and Las Vegas, NV, in the last 10 months.
Commenting on the occasion, Co-Founder and President for DraftKings North America, Matt Kalish, stated in the official press release…
“Among the iconic sports teams and landmarks, San Francisco is an ideal combination of design, culture and technology.
“Our committed, in-house marketing team could not be more excited to channel the spirit of the Bay Area in establishing DraftKings as an influential fixture of the West Coast as we continue to provide sports fans with the ultimate in creative sports-entertainment content.”
Downtown San Francisco office:
The 4,750 square-foot office located downtown in the Northern California city occupies the entire fourth floor of the new office, which wears the company’s branding along with “floor-to-ceiling murals of some of the region’s most iconic views and athletes,” including the Golden State Warriors’ Steph Curry and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Courtesy of its collaboration with flexible workspace platform, Knotel, the contemporary space will be home to DraftKings’ marketing personnel, as well as top tech talent.
The Massachusetts based sports betting company has, since October 2018, experienced tremendous internal growth, having increased its headcount by 40 percent, according to the press release.
Live in Iowa:
In related news, on February 19, DraftKings launched its sportsbook app in Iowa. Now anyone within state lines who is 21 over is able to place bets on their favorite teams and sporting events once they have registered in-person at any of three Wild Rose Entertainment casino locations in the state.
The launch follows the October 2019 opening of three Wild Rose Sportsbooks in the cities of Jefferson, Clinton and Emmetsburg, powered by DraftKings.
