Blueprint Rolls Out Pirate-Themed Slot with Brand New Mechanic

Blueprint Gaming this week released the latest addition to its slots portfolio and the new title is for all those who want a pirate’s life.

Pirates’ Frenzy has an old-schoolish feel to it, which would certainly appeal to a wide number of slots aficionados, and is packed with features that heat up action.

Action takes place right on the shore of a deserted island that guards a hidden treasure. The base game kicks off with 5 reels and 3 rows, but an additional 6th reel can appear at any point. The game features 10 paylines.

Symbols that players come across on the reels include the card royals 9-A, which act as the lowest pay symbols. They are followed by bags of coins, a bottle of every self-respecting pirate’s favorite beverage, and oranges. The higher paying symbols on the pay table include an anchor symbol and a parrot. Three or more symbols create a winning combination, except for the parrot. Just two of that symbol are needed to form a winning combo.

The pirate symbol acts as a wild. He can substitute for any other symbol on the paytable. Finally, the pirate ship serves as a scatter symbol. Three scatters on the reels activate the free spins round, during which players can win up to 50 free games.

Special Features

When three scatters hit the reels, they activate the free spins feature and award players 10 free spins. Four scatters award 15 free spins, five of the symbols grant players 20 free spins, and six scatters award 50 free spins.

During the free spins round, the scurvy pirate gathers all the coin bags that appear on the reels to boost the standard wins.

Pirates’ Frenzy is Blueprint’s first game to include the slot developer’s Power Play Bet mechanic. The new mechanic offers players the opportunity to activate an additional 6th reel for winning combinations of six of a kind and more chances to unlock the free spins mode.

Pirates’ Frenzy is a high volatility slot with an RTP of 96.12%. The game is now available across Blueprint’s global operator network. Its rollout follows the recent launch of new Blueprint titles Sweet Success Megaways and Scribes of Thebes.

Commenting on their first title to deploy the new Power Play Bet mechanic, Blueprint Director of Marketing and Relationships Jo Purvis said that the feature “means players can raise the stakes and activate an extra reel to ensure there are more ways of discovering gold coins and free spins.”

Blueprint Gaming is a UK-based game development studio that is part of Germany’s Gauselmann Group. The developer creates slots titles for online and mobile markets as well as for retail gaming terminals.
