[ad_1]

The Board of Directors of the largest gaming technical standards development organization, The International Gaming Standards Association (IGSA), unanimously approved the formation of a Responsible Gaming Committee (RGC), as PRNewswire reports. All Board members reportedly confirmed their participation in the committee which will now also include the UNLV International Gaming Institute’s widely recognized responsible gaming and player protection expert Alan Feldman, according to Review Journal.

Responsible Gaming Model to Predict and Prevent Problem Gaming:

The IGSA Responsible Gaming Committee is conceived to provide resources and support for regulators and operators through the framework named Responsible Gaming Maturity Model (RGMM). The model will reportedly enable regulators and operators to set the situation-specific and predictable responsible gaming model. As PRNewswire reports, operators and regulators will therefore be able to rely on the model to generate precise indicators and, ultimately, to predict, detect, and prevent problem gaming situations.

Earle G. Hall, Chairman of IGSA, reportedly stated: “The time has come to create a global standard, process and path for predictive responsible gaming. Regulators have done an incredible job of creating their individual approaches. It is now time to pull the best practices together into a journey from discovery to quantitative management.

Hall added: ”Moreover, it is time to shift the paradigm to a data-driven predictability model to remove the tremendous burden on regulators and operators. We are excited by the overwhelming response by our members, affiliates, and partners to be a part of this movement.”

About IGSA:

The International Gaming Standards Association (IGSA) is committed to creating and maintaining standards and protocols for the benefit of the global gaming industry. IGSA has members in 20 countries and collaborates with regulators, operators and suppliers from more than 30 countries to ensure a strategic advantage for its members. IGSA is a distinguished connection between the regulatory bodies and the gaming operators and uses the position to provide its members with the access to different sectors and commercial channels.

Committee to Guide Implementation:

The international organization has now formed the Responsible Gaming Committee to offer regulators and operators the method to quantify the responsible gaming data and generate key performance indicators to predict and prevent problem gaming. The fact that the responsible gaming expert Alan Feldman from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas joined the committee will add weight to its operations and ensure the best possible approach in the Responsible Gaming Maturity Model implementation throughout the process.
