[ad_1]

Gambling in Ohio is more popular than ever, judging by recent results. The revenue has been recorded in racinos and casinos in Ohio during January. Sports betting results aren’t included in this report, so the revenue is even higher than we know so far.

The record is broken:

Ohio’s Casino and Lottery Commissions announced that the casinos earned $196.8 million in January. In 2022, the January revenue was $171.2 million

The revenue of 11 Ohio casinos is what is left to them after paying winnings, but before taxes and fees that they are required to pay to the state.

Casinos that possess licenses for slot machines and blackjack, and other table games earned $86.1 million. Last year, these four casinos earned $75.6 million. Racinos that have slot machines earned $110.7 million, and last January, that amount was $95.6 million. There are seven racinos in the state.

JACK Cleveland Casino, JACK Thistledown, and MGM Northfield, casinos that belong to the Cleveland-Akron market, earned $62.2 million during the first month of the year. Last year, the revenue was $51.7 million.

Each of the 11 gambling properties in the state broke its own records and earned more money than last year.

The reason for the increases can likely be attributed to the regulation of sports gambling in Ohio. With its legalization, sports gambling started counting separately from other gambling types, but it helped improve the overall business

The information about casinos:
