Wazdan grows iGaming footprint in Italy

[ad_1]

Further establishing its presence in the regulated Italian market, slots specialist Wazdan has gone live with Betsson Group’s brand, StarCasino, in a deal the online casino software provider expects to “cultivate their presence in the market effectively.”

Under the new partnership agreement, starcasino.it will initially receive a dozen of the provider’s top-performing slot titles, giving its customers exclusive access to hits such as the classic 2020 release, Power of Gods: Egypt, as well as player-favorite games from the Hold the Jackpot series like the Asian-inspired Fortune Reels and Sun of Fortune.

Engagement Tools:

After the initial allotment of games, an additional selection of products will be added to the Italy-facing online casino’s games lobby. All of those titles also include Wazdan’s trademarked Freedom of Choice suite, which along with Volatility Levels features other engagement-boosting tools.

The customizable feature allows players to modify the size of their win and the frequency, when they choose. Selecting the high volatility option, results in higher value, less frequent wins, while choosing the low volatility option means more frequent but usually lower value wins.

Enhanced Offering:

“We’re thrilled to be able to deliver some of the best games on the market to our customers by bringing Wazdan on as our latest partner,” read a statement from Marco Strazzulla, Gaming Manager for Betsson Group.

Strazzulla added that they have “always been committed to finding new ways to grow and strengthen” their business, and by adding Wazdan’s “engagement-boosting products” to their portfolio, they’ve done exactly that.

The Betsson Group’s Italian brand, which is one of the multiple brands it offers including Betsson, Betsafe, Nordicbet and Casinoeuro, is a leading online casino in the region, and courtesy of the tie-up has seen its already substantial offering further enhanced via Wazdan’s wildly popular slots.

Italian Market:

For its part, Wazdan Chief Commercial Officer Andrzej Hyla, said they are “delighted to have finally been able to penetrate the Italian market, with a brand as reputable and established in the region as StarCasino.

The COO explained that their slot products are “kitted out” with tools that have been proven to boost engagement as well as the player’s “sense of agency,” and they expect the deal to cultivate their presence in the market effectively.

Wazdan continues to strengthen its foothold in key European markets and what the provider lauds as a “momentous deal,” maintains that progress. Around this time last year, the provider partnered with Italian aggregator Tuko Productions, with the Salerno-headquartered company integrating more than 40 titles on its Tuko Hub System (THS) aggregation platform.

Industry Recognition:

In addition to the deal that marks yet more commercial expansion in regulated markets, the Malta-headquartered also recent made the shortlist in three categories, including Online Casino Innovator, Rising Star – Online casino Technology and Best Online Casino Provider, for the Central and Eastern European Gaming (CEEG) Awards 2022, which will take place on September 16th in Budapest, and SiGMA Balkans/CIS Awards.

Be sure to keep an eye open for the provider’s next big hit, Sizzling Kingdom: Bison, expected to drop any day now.
