New name for Resorts World Manila

In the Philippines and the operator behind the giant Resorts World Manila property has reportedly announced that it has rebranded the 1,574-room venue with its 323,000 sq ft gaming floor as Newport World Resorts.
According to a report from the Manila Bulletin newspaper, Travellers International Hotel Group Incorporated used an official filing to declare that the facility situated only yards from Ninoy Aquino International Airport has become ‘the country’s premier lifestyle and entertainment destination’ thanks to its broad entertainment offering. However, the joint venture of Genting Hong Kong Limited and Alliance Global Group Incorporated also pronounced that it is now ‘setting a new milestone’ in its history by renaming the twelve-year-old development as Newport World Resorts.

Travellers International Hotel Group Incorporated reportedly asserted that the new-look Manila venue’s casino with its Newport Grand Wing and Newport Garden Wing additions now offer ‘a wide array of gaming thrills’ while patrons can still stay in one of five ‘premium’ hotels encompassing the Hotel Okura Manila, Marriott Manila Hotel, Holiday Inn Express Manila, Hilton Manila and Sheraton Manila Hotel. As if all of this wasn’t enough and the operator purportedly asserted that the property moreover hosts the Newport Mall alongside a selection of ‘retail and dining outlets.’

But the Hong Kong-listed operator has purportedly refused to confirm rumors that Alliance Global Group Incorporated may have purchased its stake in Travellers International Hotel Group Incorporated via a recent cash infusion thought to be worth upwards of $138.63 million.
