Optibet Online Casino Player Hits €7.2mn Win on Mega Moolah

Online casino and betting brand Optibet and Microgaming’s legendary Mega Moolah online slot are cementing themselves as a mighty duo as earlier this month they produced a second millionaire in just as many months.

An unnamed player at the Enlabs-owned online casino triggered a seven-figure mega win on the classic Mega Moolah on August 6. The fortunate customer hit a €7,231,507.69 to join Microgaming’s club of Mega Moolah millionaires.

It should also be noted that the Optibet player became the 101st millionaire on the major online gambling provider’s progressive jackpot network.

News about the latest big Mega Moolah win emerge about two months after another Optibet player hit a €6,597,136.10 jackpot to also become part of Microgaming and its most prolific online slot’s history.

Including the latest hefty payout, the major provider of iGaming content and related software has now paid out more than €1.45 billion to date in wins on its progressive jackpot network. It has awarded €137 million across all jackpots, jackpot tiers, and games equipped with its jackpot mechanics since the beginning of the year.

The Optibet player has received their seven-figure payout in a lump sum, as it is with all wins from Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network.

A Remarkable Event

Commenting on their latest big Mega Moolah news, Microgaming CEO John Coleman said that they are all used to seeing “massive jackpots drop on Mega Moolah” and that “€7.2 million is a fantastic amount to win”.

Mr. Coleman extended his congratulations to the winning player and hailed Optibet, a long-time operator partner, for claiming a second consecutive mega win on Mega Moolah in such a short period of time.

Chris Davis, CPO at Optibet parent company Enlabs, said that they were delighted when Mega Moolah dropped at the online casino the first time two months ago and that “for it to happen a second time a matter of weeks later is remarkable.”

Mr. Davis further pointed out that both their existing and new Optibet users will appreciate this milestone and that “this situation can only be attributed to the luck of the brand.”

Mega Moolah has established itself as the industry’s absolute record breaker when it comes to the size of prizes it pays out, and a few months ago it broke another record.

In May, a player from Belgium struck a €19,430,723.60 win to be awarded the highest ever payout on a progressive jackpot slot. The player played the Absolootly Mad: Mega Moolah game to win the record smashing payout. Microgaming rolled out the title in May 2020. The Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland-inspired slot was crafted by its exclusive studio partner Triple Edge Studios.
