Arizona Diamondbacks’ Madison Bumgarner Out from Shoulder
[ad_1]
On Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021 the Arizona Diamonds were taking on the New York Mets from Chase Field located in Phoenix, Arizona. Madison Bumgarner was toeing the rubber for the Arizona Diamondbacks to start the ball game, but after only 2 innings of baseball the veteran ace starting pitcher of the Arizona Diamondbacks was forced to leave the match – up due to discomfort in Bumgarner’s left shoulder. This was Madison’s shortest outing in the big leagues since August 9th, 2020 when he allowed 5 earned runs off of the 8 hits he gave up early in the game.
Well sure enough the struggling Arizona Diamondbacks dropped another ball game as they lost last Wednesday to the New York Mets with a final score of 7 to 6, but that was the least of their concerns as one of their best players in the left – handed starting pitcher, Madison Bumgarner, was scheduled to undergo an MRI on Thursday, June 3rd, 2021. The future success of the Arizona Diamondbacks most likely rests on the shoulders of their best players such as Madison so hopefully for them his MRI will yield some good news for the team which is sitting at the bottom of the National League West division at the moment.
The Arizona Diamondbacks decided to place Bumgarner on the 10 – day injured list due to the inflammation in Madison’s left shoulder (pitching arm). Bumgarner admits that he began feeling the discomfort in his left shoulder two or three weeks ago, but he ultimately decided not to disclose this injury as he believed his left shoulder would begin feeling better. Over the course of the 2021 Major League Baseball season Madison is carrying an overall record of 4 and 5 with an earned run average of 5.73 throughout his 12 starting pitching performances.
Media Statements
“This is just bad judgment on my part,” says the Arizona Diamondbacks’ starting pitcher, Madison Bumgarner. “I thought it was going to get better and go away sooner. The last three to four days, it’s gotten worse and affected my pitching.”
