Online casino software provider Microgaming has bolstered its Portuguese presence through a recent deal with gaming and hospitality powerhouse Solverde Group.
Under a recent agreement between the two companies, which they penned through Prima Networks Limited (PNL), Microgaming will deliver a selection of its content to Solverde’s Solverde.pt online casino brand to further enhance its already hefty portfolio of games.
PNL is a software service provider for new and existing regulated online casino and sports betting markets.
The Portuguese gaming market was reorganized and regulated in the spring of 2016. And the local gaming space has enjoyed rapid and robust growth over the past five years.
Solverde.pt was one of the early entries into Portugal’s regulated gambling market. The operation is licensed and regulated by SRIJ, the Portuguese Tourism Gaming Regulation and Inspection Service.
As mentioned above, it is the online gaming operation of Solverde Group. The company has more than 50 decades of experience in running casinos, tourism and leisure properties. It currently operates five land-based gambling establishments and four hotels across Portugal.
Its gambling website offers more than 1,200 online slots and table games as well as sports betting. Under Solverde’s partnership with Microgaming, the operator will first gain access to 28 titles from the provider that were all specifically tailored to the Portuguese market.
Pleased to Team Up with Microgaming
The initial roll-out of content will include titles from Microgaming’s roster of exclusive independent studios, which only recently welcomed US developer Gold Coin Studios, as well as from the supplier’s third-party content partners.
Solverde.pt will later on be able to integrate additional games through its new partner’s aggregation platform.
Commenting on their alliance with Microgaming, Solverde Group Director Américo Loureiro said that they are very pleased to partner with the major provider and that “such an experienced and pioneering online game supplier is a perfect match” for his company.
Rupert Dix, Managing Director at PNL, said that Portugal’s online gaming market has been proving to be a success story and Solverde.pt is “playing a leading role in that narrative.” He went on to say that the partnership between the online gambling brand and the provider is just the start of a great relationship that will grow and “will grow as we steadily build our portfolio of titles for Portugal.”
Micorgaming made its first foray into Portugal’s gambling market in late 2019 when it unveiled a content supply partnership with Estoril Sol. Under that early deal, the provider offered access to its content to Estoril’s Internet gambling arm Estoril Sol Digital and its iGaming brand ESC Online.
