Forbes Announces Five-Star Accreditations for Melco Resorts and Wynn Resorts

[ad_1]

Melco Resorts & Entertainment owns and operates The Morpheus Hotel since its opening in 2018. This week, the facility received Five-Star accreditation from Forbes.

The magazine issued its 63rd annual edition list of 283 Five-star hotels. Melco and Wynn Resorts account for 11 of the properties.

Melco’s properties that received the important ranking are City of Dreams, Morpheus, Star Tower and Altira in Macau, as well as City of Dreams Manila in the Philippines.

Lawrence Ho, the billionaire founder and CEO of Melco, expressed his excitement for having received the important recognition from Forbes Travel Guide.

He added: “We thank our team for their dedication – and for helping establish Melco as a leading integrated resort operator.”

Even more Wynn Resorts’ properties received the Forbes recognition. This includes its four hotels in Las Vegas – Wynn Las Vegas, Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, Wynn Tower Suites and Encore Tower Suites. The company’s holdings in Macau – Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace also received the top rating.

Other Five-Star Facilities in Las Vegas

Currently Las Vegas is a home to a total of six Five-Star hotels. The four Wynn properties are accompanied by MGM Resorts’ ARIA Sky Suites and Skylofts at MGM Grand. Five-star endorsements received two other integrated resorts in Manila’s Entertainment City – Okada and Solaire.

Crown Resorts’ casino hotels in Melbourne and Perth also received the recognition, as did Resorts World Genting in Malaysia.

It is easy to notice that the world’s largest casino operator Las Vegas Sands is excluded from the Five-Star facilities list. The company’s properties in Las Vegas, Macau and Singapore failed to enter the list. Although the last one is considered as the gold standard of the integrated resort industry, it only received a Four-Star recognition in the Forbes ranking.

During the ranking process, Forbes had the pleasure to spend two nights and three days in each inspected hotel. They posed as regular guests paying their own way.

During their stay, Forbes representatives reviewed 900 elements of each hotel stay.

They were expecting everything from whether the room was comfortable enough to ensure a good sleep, to health-conscious food and beverages to the quality of the interior design.

The Forbes Travel Guide takes various components of a guest experience into consideration. However, according to the issue’s contributor Jennifer Kester, the service remains the most important part of the evaluation.

She added: “It’s more important than ever before that properties demonstrate the utmost regard of their guests’ well-being”.

Although traveling has been close to impossible throughout the whole year of 2020, Kester is still hopeful that things could go back to normal and that once the restrictions are over, people will be eager to leave their homes and explore the world again.
