The WSOP Online Series is far from over at GGPoker. The online poker platform is offering gold bracelet events through September, with players from around the world competing to own the coveted hardware. Over the weekend, two events finished up, with brand new players earning a gold bracelet, putting their poker skills to the test.
Event #47
One of the tournaments finishing up over the weekend was Event #47. This poker tournament had a $1,000 buy-in and was a Short Deck Hold’em format. In the end, it was Paul Teoh who won the tournament, securing a WSOP gold bracelet and $88,202 in prize money.
Teoh would have to outlast a competitive field to earn the first-place win. He defeated Michelle Shah in heads up play to earn the win, after popular tournament player Mike Watson was ousted in third place.
Event #49
This event was a Turbo Deepstack No Limit Hold’em tournament with a $500 buy-in. With a stacked field of 2,978 players, it would take some work for Vladas Burneikis to earn the first-place win. After winning the tournament, Burneikis was the recipient of his first-ever gold WSOP bracelet as well as a WSOP Europe package worth $15,000.
To earn the first-place win, Burneikis had to best Pierre Merlin in heads up play. The two had fairly even stacks when they started the heads up round, but Burneikis caught several good hands to pull out the victory.
GGPoker will continue with top WSOP gaming action, including finishing up Event #48, the Millionaire Maker. This event has a $1,500 buy-in and will see first and second place taking home over $1 million! There is plenty to explore, including events in popular formats as well as the more unique!
