Maryland alliance for PointsBet USA

In the United States and the PointsBet USA subsidiary of Australian online sportsbook operator PointsBet Holdings Proprietary Limited has announced the signing of a strategic partnership that could soon see it launch into the eastern state of Maryland.

The New York-headquartered enterprise used an official press release to declare that the ten-year alliance with The Riverboat on the Potomac off-track sportsbetting facility will allow it to begin supplying sports wagering aficionados in ‘The Old Line State’ with a range of retail and online betting entertainment subject to the receipt of ‘regulatory approvals’ from the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.

Agreement advantages:

PointsBet USA described The Riverboat on the Potomac as ‘a licensed satellite simulcast facility for horseracing and minority-owned small business’ that was established some 28 years ago in southern Charles County. It stated that the new alliance will also permit it to ‘bring its best-in-market proprietary technology, modernized and premium brand mentality’ to Maryland following the state’s legalization of sportsbetting earlier this year.

Johnny Aitken serves as the Chief Executive Officer for PointsBet USA and he used the press release to proclaim that he is ‘thrilled’ to have signed the arrangement with the ‘terrific partners’ at The Riverboat on the Potomac and now intends to initiate the process of bringing his firm’s mobile-friendly service to ‘the passionate and sports-loving community of Maryland’. He furthermore declared that this offering, which is already available to punters in New Jersey, Iowa, ColoradoIndiana, Michigan and Illinois, is due to encompass ‘the fastest and most differentiated sportsbetting product across every customer touchpoint’ covering a range of markets on some of the most popular American sports.

For his part and Winston DeLattiboudere from The Riverboat on the Potomac pronounced that his facility which was once colloquially known as ‘Little Reno’, is ‘excited about this new endeavor’ and the chance to partner with ‘an international leader’ that is furthermore ‘recently proven to be an industry trailblazer.’ He moreover expressed his gratitude to the members of the Maryland General Assembly for recently passing the legislation that ‘helped to make this enormous opportunity a reality.’
