Playtech Launches Online Casino Partnership with Parx Interactive
Online gambling technology giant Playtech this week announced the launch of a brand new partnership with Parx Interactive, the online casino division of Pennsylvania’s Parx Casino, and Michigan’s Gun Lake Casino.
This young partnership is set to be kicked off with the roll-out of Michigan’s newest iGaming app, Play Gun Lake. The new operation marks an important extension of an existing alliance between Parx and Gun Lake Casino.
The new app will be powered by Playtech’s advanced IMS platform and Player Account Management (PAM) solution and will feature the supplier’s proprietary online casino content.
As mentioned above, this latest announcement marks the launch of a strategic agreement between Playtech and Parx. Plans for a collaboration between the two companies were first announced this past February. As part of this partnership, Playtech and its operator partner will soon release new online gambling products in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Indiana as well as in other regulated jurisdictions in the US.
Parx Casino, the largest Las Vegas-style gambling venue in Pennsylvania, will be the first to go live with Playtech’s IMS platform in the US. The casino will this way join a number of international tier-one operators that have already been equipped with the platform and benefit from it.
The provider’s IMS product comes with a complete online backend solution for all online casino and sports betting and delivers industry-leading offering across different verticals and to the largest iGaming and wagering operators in the world.
Another Key Milestone
Commenting on this new partnership with Parx Casino, Playtech COO Shimon Akad said that it marks “another key milestone” in the development and delivery of the FTSE250 company’s US strategy. Mr. Akad went on to say that the US market is a highly sophisticated one and demands “a technology solution that provides a high-quality customer experience.”
He also noted that they look forward to continuing to work with Parx Casino and deliver industry leading gambling experience across multiple states and verticals.
Parx Casino SVP iGaming and Sports Matthew Cullen added that they are delighted to launch the Play Gun Lake app in Michigan with Playtech and bring the success of Parx into Michigan’s online gaming market. He went on to say that Parx is looking to constantly expand its offering to take player experience to another level and that “to do so with Playtech’s industry leading content is particularly exciting.”
News about Playtech’s partnership with Parx in Michigan emerge shortly after the provider announced that it has secured a long-term lease for its first Live Casino studio in the US. The facility will be located namely in Michigan.
As for Gun Lake Casino, it too had some big news to share. The Wayland-based gambling venue announced earlier this month that it would undergo a $300 million expansion and revamp that will transform it into a full-scale hotel and casino resort.
Work on the planned expansion is set to kick off after an ongoing $100 million renovation project wraps up at the property in late summer.
