Video slot growing pains for NetEnt AB

[ad_1]

Only a week after launching its Street Fighter II: The World Warrior Slot and Swedish online casino games developer NetEnt AB has now reportedly been forced to pull the five-reel video slot from circulation due to technical difficulties.

According to a Thursday report from BigWinBoard.com, the five-line title is themed around one of the best-selling arcade games of the 1990s and was only premiered across the Stockholm-headquartered innovator’s plethora of operating partners on May 21. The branded advance comes complete with the Cluster Pays mechanic and emulates its forerunner by pitting competitors’ chosen characters against digital opponents with the reels picking the ultimate winner.

Prospective problem:

However, BigWinBoard.com reported that the mobile-friendly video slot is now absent from domains including 888Casino.com, VideoSlots.com and Betsson.com after NetEnt AB declared that it had ‘identified a potential situation whereby player staking behavior could impact the intended gameplay experience’.

Optimal operation:

The developer reportedly used an official communication to proclaim that its Street Fighter II: The World Warrior Slot had ‘been performing within the expected parameters’ on a network level with regards to its certified maths model and return-to-player ratios. But, the Stockholm-listed firm purportedly also pronounced that the game has now been ‘temporarily disabled’ with its team engaged in implementing ‘a fix’ that has been designed to rectify the previously-identified problem.

Reportedly read a statement from NetEnt AB…

“Once this game is certified by our test house, we will make it available to you. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused and rest assured that we are working hard to get this game back up and running for you as soon as possible.”
